To use BarTong, users need to download the app from the app store for free. They also need to complete a one-time user authentication process by verifying their phone number. Once authenticated, users can make payments using their smartphones. The payment amount will be added to their phone bill for the next month.

BarTong also offers a convenient offline barcode payment method. Users can generate a barcode within the app and present it to the cashier at participating stores, such as CU, 7-Eleven, E-Mart 24, Mini Stop, Storyway, Biderway, and more. The app provides a secure login process with one-time-use barcodes and automatic suspension of the service after five incorrect password attempts.
